The resort is wonderful, in a pine forest with beautiful nature, lots of green and serenity. The villa was most accommodating, very comfortable and elegant. It cam seem cold at first if you go off season but let the AC run for a while and it will be okay. A bit of construction is going on but they try not to interfere much. The service staff is very nice and eager to help. Shout out to the nice cleaning ladies and the young man that rents bicycles!

“We were very disappointed initially at the Royalmar section of the Solanas Resort”

We were initially put in a 1 bedroom in the Royalmar section of the Solanas Resort. That room impossible to find as all the numbers on the units are worn off. We were initially put in a 1 bedroom in the Royalmar section of the Solanas Resort. That room impossible to find as all the numbers on the units are worn off. The room was dark, dingy, dirty (I went to wipe water off the floor and the paper towel was dirty). The bed was like concrete. The toilet did not flush after 3 times. The kitchen was so small, there was maybe 2' x 2' section of counter space, the oven was a 1964 model. The kitchen was smaller than you would find in a studio, I can't imagine how you could cook a meal there, not even my easy breakfasts. So we went to Solanas reception and told them that we could not spend a week in that room They upgraded us to the Green Park section of the resort, which is the standard that I expect from RCI, but we had to pay an additional $30 per night for the "upgrade", which was disappointing. I will say the accomodations at the Green Park section are wonderful in every way. The unit was bright and big and comfortable, and quiet, and private. Even the grounds were way nicer. The resort overall offers many activities and pool towels and beach chairs w/umbrellas. I recommend the ATV ride they offer almost daily. We also rented bikes once and that was fun. For the season we travelled, we knew we were going right before the crazy summer began, but I wish we had know just how many things are closed until Dec. 1st. It was hard to even find a place to eat that was not at the resort. I can recommend both La Casa Gallega, the food and service there were fabulous! Also, one night we went to Life Bistro which is in the AWA Hotel, that was fantastic!

“Great for families”

We enjoyed our stay here but wished they had enforced the adults only pool rule. The shower lacked pressure but plenty of hot water. There is extensive construction going on which was a tad inconvenient but not a big problem,

my room was very small- like a motel 6, with a tiny fridge and microwave only. maintenance was not the best- couldn't get into room because the keycard reader didn't work. it was a long drive from check in to room so having to go up there 3 times was a pain! bathroom window swelled and wouldn't shu… Più
