Lovely hotel, room was clean and comfortable and decorated beautifully, restaurant was airy and spacious. Staff were attentive and friendly. Only let down was the English breakfast. The eggs florentine was freshly made and done well, however the full English was clearly precooked and appeared to have been served off a hotplate rather than freshly cooked. The beans were inedible, in a thin tasteless sauce and would have been better left in the tin (or bin!) Disappointing for an otherwise really great stay in a lovely hotel.

“Good quality rooms, restaurant, decor and great location”

We spent a Saturday night at the hotel, having booked the Winter Escapes deal. This covered dinner, with a bottle of wine, bed and breakfast. We had a lovely room, beautiful furnished. I found the duvet to be too thick and hot for my liking, but my partner really enjoyed it. We found the shower over the bath quite hard to access too (in room 104), but did enjoy the large bathroom and nice toiletries provided overall. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We thought that the quality, presentation and. service was good, and decor was lovely. There is an adjoining coffee shop, although it was shut during our visit. The gardens looked lovely, and it would be nice to see them in better weather. The hotel is centrally located within Oswestry. There is a large secure car park and free WiFi too. We really enjoy visiting hotels in the Coaching Inn chain and will continue to do so after this experience.

We love the Coaching inn group but this isn’t the best We requested and paid for a superior double and we were allocated room 109. We love the Coaching inn group but this isn’t the best We requested and paid for a superior double and we were allocated room 109. Why this is classed as superior, I don’t know, over looking the roof and right next to the kitchen extractor fan which is switched on at 6am. There was also a bright white light shining into the room until about 10pm each night The room was stifling hot… airless. Thank fully there was a fan. But this was April! The shower was difficult to access as it was in the bath I had asked for a first floor room due to mobility problems, they didn’t think that I may not find the shower easy to use? I advised the receptionist at check out, not interested, in fact she said 109 was her favourite room! I find that very hard to believe, how many times has she stayed there and been woken by the kitchen extractor fan I have waited for the normal review request, guess what, it never came. I will copy and paste this to head office also
