“Comfy stay”

Everything you need for a short- term stay. Conveniently located close to airport and town. Comfy and spacious room. Helpful reception staff only available 8am-5pm. Lovely lakeside location with cafe down the road.

The hotel room is clean, comfortable, and is on a great location (close to town/airport). However, for a hotel that markets themselves to be 5-star, the experience only gives you 2.5 to 3-star at most. It lacks toiletries like lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste that are commonly included for even the basic hotel booking. The appliances are old, even the electric kettle needs a deep clean. And they missed room service altogether on our first day as well despite reminding them that the room is ready for service at around midday. If you’re looking for a 5-star service, this ain’t the hotel for you.

“Very spacious rooms, views and service hit and miss”

We stayed here twice in March. The first time we booked a Deluxe Apartment with a partial lake view. The view was extremely partial - you could see a little bit of lake between the buildings in front. That's it - not worth the extra money for partial. The second time we were in a Deluxe Apartment with lake view - this put us in the front buildings right in front of the lake, however we were a bit disappointed that there is construction going on (they are building a marina right in front) and this blocks a lot of the view that you've paid for. Other than this, the rooms are very spacious with everything you need including multiple bedrooms (we booked 2 bedrooms both times) and 2 bathrooms (1 is an ensuite). There was also a full kitchen. Service was a little lacking the first time - I waited in reception for 10 minutes before someone finally came from outside to help me. On getting to the room I found hair and pee on the toilet seat (gross!). The second time, check in was much smoother and friendly (different person). He told me about the area, where we could get something for breakfast, taxi information to get to town etc. It was only then that I realised I wasn't told any of that the first time. We had some ducks visit us at our door during the second visit which was cute. The location is on the waterfront and there are bbq's there for use and it is nice to walk along the lakefront on the path there - just don't expect to see too much from your room, depending on where you get put. It's about 10 minutes drive to town.
