“Great hotel for the money”

We spent 3 nights here as part of a tour this month. Hotel was modern and clean. Room was a great size with lounges and good size bedroom. Breakfast was simple but good. Lots of breads, fruit and pastries. There are quite a few restaurants and small supermarkets close by. The only let down was in the room lots of things were broken including a cabinet door hanging off, shower screen missing and shower screen handle was only being held with 1 screw. Carpet lifting at bathroom. Also there is very little hot water. None of these things really changed our thoughts on the hotel. But easy to fix. Security was fine here but don't expect screening at the door or high walls with guards like other 5 star hotels in Baghdad

I stayed here twice at the beginning and the end of my trip, both stays were mostly comfortable with a few caveats. The rooms are currently being renovated and in various states of completion. My first room had new carpeting, but no new paint and an old bathroom. My second room had new furniture and a finished new bathroom, but old carpet and had not been painted (stains on the ceiling and bathroom, especially unsightly). others in our group had similar experiences with rooms in various states of renovation, so be aware that this is ongoing, there will also be construction noise in the morning if you plan to sleep late. I am an early riser, so the noise never bothered me, I also enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant. The hotel is well located and staff are very friendly and helpful. For Baghdad, this is a great option for foreign visitors, if anything for the strong reliable air conditioning, and once renovations are completed, it has the potential to be the best of the best.

It is a comfortable hotel I have to say, except the AC was loud ! Gladly it’s still in the 20s degree at night so I can have a good night rest after turning the AC off. The bed is comfortable and the room is like a 3 stars hotel. It offers free breakfast and all the staffs speak English. The surrounding area is safe but there aren’t much dining options at night. However, since my tour includes dinner, it didn’t really matter too much for me.

“Just OK”

A potentially nice boutique hotel but a few improvements would help—a deep cleaning of the bathroom and shower would be a start, as well as vacuuming the carpet. Breakfast is acceptable except for the baked goods which seem more like a permanent display. Moderately friendly staff.
