“A hotel with caring staff”

The hotel is very conveniently located - JR station within walking distance and close to shops and malls. We had a triple room which was big by Japanese standards. The hotel is very conveniently located - JR station within walking distance and close to shops and malls. We had a triple room which was big by Japanese standards. Had an excellent dinner at the French restaurant. Buffet breakfast was great with a lot of Hokkaido farm produce. WHAT IMPRESSED US MOST WAS the help we got from the staff. One of us slipped and fell on an icy road outside the hotel. The staff, in particular Ms. YUMIKO SHIMIZU showed real concern and cared genuinely about us. On her own initiative, she helped us contact an interpreter to understand the situation, checked out the nearest hospital that accepted foreign visitors, even checked out the waiting time at A & E, then got us a wheelchair and a taxi. On our return she followed up on our situation. We had the same help from her two days later as a follow up consultation was required. It was so very kind of her and we are very grateful. The other staff were very understanding too. They supplied us with huge bags of ice cubes to curb the swelling when asked. We feel that their help and concern came from their hearts and genuine. We wish to thank them once again. Their attitude towards guests is exceptional. We will stay at Monterey Sapporo again.

“British Old Styled Hotel”

I love Hotel decoration in British Old Style. Staffs are friendly and good service. Hotel should look into cleanliness in Suite Room, lot of dust, wooden furnitures are too big and useless and seem not enough space.

“Comfortable stay in a convenient location”

Hotel is older style (on purpose) which may not be to everyone's taste but I found it quaint. Our family of 4 had adjoining rooms at the end of the corridor (533 & 534). Hotel is older style (on purpose) which may not be to everyone's taste but I found it quaint. Our family of 4 had adjoining rooms at the end of the corridor (533 & 534). These were large and spacious with a lot of windows allowing natural light. Bathroom was big with amenities though for some reason there is no lotion. Free water and wifi. We did not avail breakfast. Location convenient walk to JR station and shops. Overall would recommend this for Sapporo.

You won't get bored/ not able to find something you like to eat under the cold weather. Front desk staff is quite efficient and easy to communicate with. I love the hotel building -- it's classy.
