From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel has been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The quality of the internal design is among the finest I have encountered, with a real attention to detail that creates an atmosphere of refinement and comfort throughout. The rooms themselves were incredible — luxurious, spacious, and beautifully maintained, making our stay both relaxing and memorable. The food was also excellent, with the same meticulous care evident not only in the flavours and presentation but also in the settings where meals were enjoyed. Dining here felt like a real occasion, combining high culinary standards with elegant surroundings. The property as a whole is exceptionally well looked after. The gardens are magnificent, clearly tended with the same pride and precision as the interiors. They provide a wonderful backdrop for a stroll or simply a moment of quiet enjoyment. What really elevated our experience, however, was the staff. Every member we encountered was genuinely warm, attentive, and went out of their way to help, adding a personal touch that made the stay truly special. This is a hotel where excellence in every detail is the rule, not the exception.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Relatively new, and therefore, it feels like a fresh and modern hotel, but with traditional French charm. Set in beautifully maintained gardens, it offers the discerning traveller a true oasis of calm. The head chef of Notes was on hand to ensure that specific dietary needs were met, which was excellent. However, our experience in the Brasserie restaurant was not so positive. Apart from that all staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and offered genuine 5-star service. About a 30-minute walk from Cognac, so bring some walking shoes. Would highly recommend. Thank you 👌

The renovation has been done in the most exquisite way making everything of the original features and the gardens and pool are just lovely. We always stay in relais and chateau but this hotel must rank as one of their absolute best. We had supper in the brasserie restaurant and all the staff were very attentive and charming and the food very delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Special mention to front of house in reception Antoine who was amazingly helpful. Can’t wait to return.

La Nauve is truly a hidden gem, an unbeatable place that combines elegance, serenity, and thoughtful design. It offers a peaceful retreat where every detail has been carefully curated to create a sense of quiet luxury. The gardens are simply superb, meticulously maintained, the outdoor spaces alone are worth the visit. Each room and common area reflects extraordinary attention to detail. We spent time with our kids enjoying the pool and riding bikes into town. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down and truly relax.
