I've been coming here on business since November 2020. I don't think I can say enough about the This wonderful hotel and especially the staff. We are in COVID times but the Carleton has continued to operate with flair, courtesy and passion. My first time here I had a regular suite, a bit dated when it came to the colour scheme but it was clean, cozy, great bed and linens, couch was comfy not lumpy. I've been in the newer suites since - yes everything is newer and shinier but either option is grand. Full kitchen and an amazing grocery store two blocks away As for the staff, Guest Services or Housekeeping, you couldn't ask for better people. My thanks and gratitude to Doug Crosble, Agnes, Denise and Kim. It's like coming home every time.

“Excellent value, newly renovated!!”

Stayed for a weekend in March 2020. Requested a renovated room, as the hotel was under construction. Booked the king one bedroom. The room was so clean and smelled brand new. Stayed for a weekend in March 2020. Requested a renovated room, as the hotel was under construction. Booked the king one bedroom. The room was so clean and smelled brand new. The decor is modern contemporary. We will definately stay here again. Excellent location, staff was awesome and decommended Brown's restaurant down the street. Excellent choice. The kitchenette had never been used all new appliances. They really over did themselves with the reno's!!

“Very nice renovated suite, but too hot”

I stayed here two nights in February. The outside temperature was unusually warm, about 5C, and the heating is hot water. I stayed here two nights in February. The outside temperature was unusually warm, about 5C, and the heating is hot water. With the thermostat set at 16, fan at high, the two little windows open, I was still too warm for sleeping. Not good when good sleep is the most important thing that you want in a hotel. The gym has one spinner, two treadmills, two elipitcals, one weight machine and some weights. The machines are so old that they still have iPhone 4 connections...the pool is nice with good natural lighting, nice little hot tub too. The morning buffet was good. The location of the hotel is good, the staff are friendly and efficient. Parking was easy. All in all, a pretty good stay.

Great location and very well priced based on the local competition. Walking distance to loads of restaurants and attractions. Guests are offered great environmental incentives for not getting housekeeping every day, and suites are fully equipped so you can zip to the local grocery store and make your own meals instead of depending on restaurants. Not fancy, not luxurious, but it is clean and comfortable, and the suites are large and well appointed. Staff is very friendly and the complementary hot and cold buffet breakfast is great. Pet and kid friendly.
