We stayed here at the start of January with a team of Ringette players for a tournament nearby. The staff were very hospitable. Many of us were able to check in a bit early. They do allow pets, and there was a barking dog near our room, they were able to move us down the hall. They pool is warm and the gym was well set up. The pool had many chairs for the adults to watch the kids swim. The breakfast area was clean, we ate our dinner down there and noted other teams bring carafes and things to do a pot luck. The breakfast itself was mediocre with minimal options. We had a small kitchenette in our room, with a large fridge. Would stay again.

We are staying here because of a house fire in a home we just moved into in Bowmanville. It's a stressful time, to say the least. What makes is a hundred times easier, is the staff here. They are INCREDIBLE. Everyone from the breakfast attendants, to housekeeping, to the restaurant and certainly - and most importantly - the guest services staff. Issues can be resolved - it's HOW they are resolved that separates a good hotel from an outstanding one. And this, is an outstanding hotel.

We stayed here for a night as a family of 4 before flying back to London while visiting family in the GTA. We had just spent 13 nights as a Homewood Suites in Ottawa - and that really impacted upon our view of this hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel was nice. But the details matter - there was no door between the bedroom and kitchen/living room. The breakfast was really basic, with premixed eggs/powdered eggs and a sausage patty. Our kids can’t have dairy, and virtually everything had dairy in it with no alternatives available. It was a nice hotel - but the one we’d been in for the previous 2 weeks was leagues better. It was fine for a quick stay, but if we had spent 2 weeks here, I would have been frustrated at some of the details. I wouldn’t stay here again.
