“A Time was had!”

My family and I had an amazing stay. We even extended an additional night because we didn't want to leave. All their staff members were so welcoming, helpful and always had a smile on their face; as a Belizean local that was refreshing to see. We DEFINATLY coming back in the near future.

“Two Weeks in Hopkins: Peaks, Pits and Recommendations”

We stayed two weeks in H3 (2nd-floor, 3-bedroom oceanfront penthouse) with our son, his wife, and our 7- and 9-year-old grandchildren. We stayed two weeks in H3 (2nd-floor, 3-bedroom oceanfront penthouse) with our son, his wife, and our 7- and 9-year-old grandchildren. We were happy with our resort choice, but unfortunately, Hopkins was not a good 2-week “base camp” for us. Peaks & pits: • Units are individually owned but managed by Seiri del Mar, so quality varies based on owner investment. Ours—like several others—was for sale and showed some wear, with a “faded luxury” feel. That said, it functioned well for all six of us. • Staff worked hard to manage the sargassum—better than neighboring resorts—but despite their efforts, the beach and sea were unusable for more than half the trip. • The oceanfront pool is excellent, and Kyle was outstanding with food, drinks, and overall service. • Rent a golf cart. The resort sits on the far north side of town, while most restaurants and activity are on the south end. • Most excursions (land and sea) require 1+ hour each way, and there’s limited activity within the village itself. • We used the locally owned Get to Know Belize for tours (Tikal, Monkey River, fishing/snorkeling combos, Cockscomb night hike, ATV + waterfalls) and golf cart rentals. Drivers (Shane, Edward) and guides (Medz, Jeff) were excellent. Book directly with them rather than through the hotel. • Housekeeping was strong and reliable. • Review your bill carefully—the office attempted to double-charge airport transfers and add a charge for the “free” welcome drink. • We had no luck fishing off the dock, but had excellent success fishing out by the reef with Medz and Jeff at Get to Know Belize. • Embers was good and reliable. Be sure to negotiate a breakfast rate before you book if you want that included.
