“Courtyard Cuteness!”

This is a fantastic Courtyard Marriott. It's right on the square in LaGrange, excellent location with easy walking to so many shops and restaurants. This is a fantastic Courtyard Marriott. It's right on the square in LaGrange, excellent location with easy walking to so many shops and restaurants. Parking is free in an easy access deck behind the hotel. My king room amazingly cozy with a huge TV on a hinge, nice king bed, plus a loveseat/sofa bed and ottoman with a moveable end/tray table for your drink or computer while watching TV. Bathroom spacious and equipped with shower-mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Room also had a coffee maker and mini-fridge, and real glass glasses for your beverage of choice. Front desk staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Bonus bar and Starbucks, but no free breakfast (as per usual with Courtyards). Only downside for me: Needs blackout shade, instead of wavy 'blackout' curtains. Since I was on the backside of the hotel the lights from the parking deck streamed through every nook and cranny that the curtains couldn't cover.

“Outside Noise Ruins My Stay”

Marriott Courtyard is a decent hotel. It sits on the square in the town’s center. The staff was friendly and helpful, and tried hard to please. I stayed there to attend a conference. The room was fairly clean. Housekeeping forgot to clean the tub. The light fixture between the beds had layers of dust and had not seen attention in a while. The refrigerator did not get cool much less cold. I requested housekeeping clean the tub and dust the light fixture and both looked like new when cleaned. Forgot to tell them about the frig. The big problem was the noise that came from outside the hotel. I realize this was out of their control (to an extent). I was on the first floor and the hotel sits very close to the street. The street noise was constant, from racing engines to boom boom music. The final straw for me was an outdoor concert on the square which was very close to the hotel. The noise was unbearable. I did not wish to attend the concert while in my room. I wanted to rest. I gave up, packed my things, and checked out. The concert was from 4:00pm-10:00pm. For me, that was a deal breaker. I don’t think I’ll be back. Wish I had chosen a hotel away from the town center.
